Is Mclaren on the come back?
In the decade between the years 1984 and 1993, only World Champions were good enough to race for Mclaren. They rewrote the record books in a single season. During 1988 they won a record 15 races out of the total 16 Formula 1 World Championship races and were kings of the grid 15 times in that same season. Their drivers finished first and second in almost every race, which isn't surprising when you remember that their name's were the Championship winners of Alain Prost (the founder of the current Prost team) and the deceased Aryton Senna since the Brazilian Grand Prix of 1994 while driving for Williams.
This legendary team (Mclaren) took the Constructors Championship of 1988 with a whopping 199 points against the pathetic 65 points belonging to the 2nd place team of Williams.
To sum up this legendary team, they won 74 races, took 61 pole's, provided the World Champion's car 7 times and won six constructors championships never finishing out of the top two during the decade of 1988 to 1993.
